Leadership and Management in Perioperative / Medical Device Reprocessing (NURS 1673)

SIAST, Nursing Division, Continuing Education, has developed an instructor supported distance education course specific to leadership and management in Perioperative and Medical Device Reprocessing. Your studies will focus on an overview of leadership and management in the perioperative and medical device reprocessing areas. You will examine the basics of planning, communication, human resource management, quality management, quality improvement and fiscal management using evidence based practices and resources. The course will also examine management and leadership practices specific to both the medical device reprocessing and perioperative environment.

Prerequisites: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, Business degree or equivalent
