Limited Power Engineering, Fireman Level "Prep" (ENGP 1805)

This course is intended to assist students to prepare to write the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan Limited Power Engineering (Fireman’s Certificate) exam. Topics include: low pressure heat boilers, fuel and firing equipment, automatic controls, pumps, piping fittings, valves, steam and hot water heating, ventilation, basic electricity, and the Boiler Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations. Lab work is conducted to reinforce classroom work. Provincial testing is not included – contact the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (1-866-530-8599) to book an exam sitting.

Fee: $565 45 hours/15 sessions
Additional costs: Textbooks (approx. $340). Steel toed boots and safety glasses required for lab work.
