CISCO CNA Semester II (CNET 102)

Topics covered in Semester 2 include OSI model, LANs, TCIP address, WANS and routers, router interface, router components, router commands, router networks, network testing, router boot sequence, system configuration (files, modes, and methods), IOS versions, bootstrapping option. You will also cover IOS naming and software maps, TCP/IP protocol, layer 3 concepts, addressing and Subnetting, roles of DNS in router configuration, verifying address codes, assigning subnet numbers, distance-vector routing, link-state routing, initial routing configuration, interior and exterior routing protocols, RIP, IGRP and troubleshooting routers.

Prerequisites: CISCO CNA Semester I, Instructor permission or
