Welding Basic Pressure (WELD 1607)

You will learn the fundamentals of welding 6” sch. 80 pipe in the 2G, 5G positions using the SMAW welding process. This includes proper fit-up, weld joint preparation, tacking and electrode manipulation in vertical up welding. Instruction will be in the form of lecture, shop demonstration and individual practice time.

This course will be delivered in Prince Albert when the minimum number of students has been reached. To place your name on the interest list or obtain more information, call 306-765-1564.

Participants should call 306-787-1443 (Boiler and Pressure Vessel Office) to determine eligibility to test prior to enrolling in this course.

Please bring proper eye protection, work gloves, and work boots.

Prerequisites: Trainees should have a minimum three years welding experience.
