First Aid, Standard (FAID 1005)

You will receive basic information about first aid including prevention, assessment and protocol for entry into the Emergency Medical System. You will receive instruction on managing selected accident situations (including bleeding, shock, head and spinal injuries), musculoskeletal injuries, poisoning, environmental injuries, eye, chest, abdominal and crush injuries and medical emergencies. This course meets the requirements of Occupational Health and Safety, Saskatchewan Labour. Upon successful completion you will receive a wallet card (confirming course completion) from SIAST.

Prerequisites: Current CPR certificate (within past 3 years) will also be necessary to meet the requirements of Occupational Health and Safety, Saskatchewan Labour.


Fee: $120 (GST included) Additional costs: Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED Student Workbook (optional)
