Fire Prevention and Protection (SFTY 199)

Your studies will focus on applying current concepts, principles, and practices involved in the evaluation, control, prevention, reduction and elimination of fire hazards, resulting in the protection of workers and workplaces. Specific topics include the chemistry of fire, causes of fire, fire detection and suppression systems, legislated codes and regulations, emergency preparedness plans, and stakeholder responsibilities.
