MS Office for Macintosh - Introduction (COAP 1460)

This class will introduce students already familiar with the Macintosh and Mac OS X, to Microsoft Office 2008. The primary applications are Word 12, Excel 12 and PowerPoint 12. The Office 2008 suite contains many other auxiliary programs such as Microsoft Project Gallery which come into play while using the primary applications. The word section will include the creation, formatting, saving and printing of documents. The Excel section will include the creation of spreadsheet workbooks which includes formatting, data entry, formula building, chart making and printing of the material. The PowerPoint section includes the production, editing, saving, viewing and printing of PowerPoint slideshows. Multimedia items are used extensively while creating PowerPoint shows.

Prerequisites: Basic computer operation
