Macintosh - Introduction (COAP 1442)

This class will introduce students to the Macintosh computer and Mac OS X. The Mac OS X or Leopard is one of the most powerful and stable operating systems ever developed. It is extremely easy to use and has many features which improve productivity. The student will learn file management and basic Mac Maintenance. Some of the many features available to the user are icon management in the Dock, folder creation and customization, desktop arrangement, Desktop Utilities, View Options for open folder windows and System Preferences. The maintenance routines include the use of Disc Utility and Keyboard procedures which will keep the Macintosh performing at optimal levels.

Prerequisites: Basic computer operation
