Children With Diverse Abilities 1 (SPSY 279)

The course provides an introduction to the study of children with diverse abilities and needs. You will examine practices related to identification, intervention and prevention of specific diverse abilities. You will also discuss historical and current approaches, trends and issues.

Same text(s) used for Children with Diverse Abilities 2 (SPSY 289) Wascana course offered as facilitated study (combination in-class and independent study). Mandatory workshop dates Sept 24, Oct 22 and Nov 26. All assignments must be completed by Nov 26.

Prerequisites: Early Childhood Education Certificate Practicum 2, Practicum 2 (PRAC 105)
