Business Practices and Processes in the Funeral Service Industry (FNRL 282)

You will study business practices pertinent to the funeral service industry. Particular consideration will be paid to funeral home budgets and financial statements, funeral service merchandising and sales, costing and pricing, advertising, and applicable federal and provincial regulations.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology (also called Anatomy and Physiology), Core Work Experience, Funeral Service Core Practicum, Interpersonal Communications, Interpersonal Skills in Funeral Service, Introduction to Microsoft Word and Excel, Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint, Jurisprudence and Ethics, Medical Terminology (180), Microbiology for Funeral Service, Orientation to Funeral Services, Psychology 1, Psychology of Grief, Written and Oral Communications, Introduction to Desktop Publishing, Completion of all Funeral Service core courses, WORK 192 and PRAC 176
