Addictions (YCW 284)

You will examine the historical trends and theoretical perspectives of addictive behaviours with a focus on substance, gambling and sexual addictions. You will identify drug classifications and the impact of addictions on family functioning and dynamics. You will learn about current prevention strategies and treatment options when dealing with substance use/abuse issues.
