Grammar and Punctuation (BCOM 1609)

Effective business communication is grammatically correct, clear, concise and easy to understand. In this interactive workshop, you will learn and practice skills to enable you to write effective sentences. Examine the roles of the various parts of speech and understand how each functions in a sentence. By considering word choice, learn how to eliminate wordiness. You will understand that punctuation is an aid to meaning and learn how to correct the most common punctuation errors. Practical exercises, instructor and peer feedback will help you to improve your grammar and punctuation skills. This course is offered in CP (Canadian Press) style.

This workshop is available in a simultaneous web-environment (live on your computer) providing that you have a webcam with a microphone, high-speed internet connection, and a printer. Call (306) 775-7481 if you are interested in finding out more about this option or this workshop.
