Medical Device Reprocessing - Inspection, Assembly and Packaging (MED 1603)

You will discuss the inspection, sorting, assembling, packaging and storing instruments. Aspects of preparing equipment to be sterilized will be covered. You will study the various classifications of surgical instruments including specialty and by service categories. Policies and procedures related to these areas will also be identified.

Prerequisites: Medical Device Reprocessing - Decontamination: Cleaning and Disinfection
