Foundations of Medical Device Reprocessing (MED 1601)

Your studies will focus on an overview of the medical device reprocessing (MDR) department as well as duties and responsibilities of Medical Device Reprocessing technicians. You will gain valuable information whether you are new to the area or have previous reprocessing experience. You will study medical terminology, major body systems, microbiology, infection control, confidentiality, safety and required Canadian standards related to medical device reprocessing.

Prerequisites: Grade 12 or GED 12, SIAST English Language Proficiency
