Corporate Career Assessment Services

Business and industry, private consulting firms and community-based organizations requiring career assessment services for their employees or clients may access these services. SIAST Career Enhancement offers a variety of career and aptitude assessment services for referred clients, including Strong Interest Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, GATB and psycho-educational assessments.  Typically, the service includes administration of one or more assessments, an individual comprehensive interpretation session and, where requested, a personalized written report.  For further information on corporate career assessment services, please call 306-775-7479.


Resume Preparation (JOBS 1605)

Your resume is your personal advertisement of who you are and what you can do. If you want to succeed in today’s job market, you need a resume that is streamlined, aesthetically pleasing and effective. One-to-one consultations are available to help you prepare a professional resume.

We will:

  • provide you with individual consultation(s)
  • critique your existing resume (or start from scratch)
  • assist you with resume content and layout
  • word process your resume
  • provide one electronic and 10 hard copies of your resume

The Test of Workplace Essential Skills or TOWES is an effective testing tool that uses workplace documents to accurately measure three of the essential skills needed for safe and productive employment. TOWES is the only standardized assessment of essential skills in Canada.

Interview Skills (JOBS 1606)

Today’s labour market requires job seekers to be prepared for in-depth job interviews. The key to a winning interview is preparation and rehearsal. One-on-one consultations are available to help you prepare for specific or general interviews. You will practice a variety of questions including behavioural descriptive, situational and typical. Outplacement Services

Private or public sector employers who require assistance in supporting employees who are leaving their organization can access their choice of the following services.

  • Individualized counselling with a focus on moving forward following job loss.
  • Career assessments: a variety of career assessments can be used to assist clients in expanding their self knowledge of interests and/or personal style as they relate to potential careers.
  • Resume consultation: we provide individualized assistance to help your clients develop updated, customized, professional resumes.
  • Interview Skills: we provide individualized assistance to clients who wish to improve their interview skills and techniques. This may include review and practice in typical, situational and behavioural descriptive questions, and a video-taped mock interview with personal feedback.
  • Portfolio Development: we will assist clients in developing an employment portfolio that highlights and supports personal achievements and qualifications.
