Emotional Intelligence for the Workplace (PERS 1624)

Mastering Emotional SMARTS® skills will assist you to: self-manage assertively; behave appropriately with demographically and culturally diverse people; connect well with others; and make effective decisions. Wendy Turner-Larsen, M.A. M.A., a Regina- based registered psychologist and corporate trainer with Turner Larsen Consulting, will present the Emotional SMARTS® process. This process provides you with the tools to stay grounded, centered and focused so that you can achieve the best results for your time, money, energy, resources and talent. In addition to achieving leadership strategies for your toolkit, you will receive Dr. Donaldson’s best-selling book and extensive participant materials.

Proposal Writing (SUPP 1400)

This six-hour workshop will provide participants with an overview of basic proposal writing styles and techniques. Topics covered include when to write a proposal, selecting the type and style of proposal, and also the format of a formal proposal. Proposal presentations will also be covered. Participants will have the opportunity to develop a draft outline for a proposal of their choice as part of the workshop. The facilitator will be Grant MacTavish. Grant has over ten years of experience in proposal writing and has authored over one hundred proposals. Grant will present a very practical approach to proposal writing drawing from his extensive experience.

Stress Management for the Workplace (PERS 1625)

Are you running on empty? The business case for addressing stress in the workplace is compelling. This workshop will help you to identify your own personal style, stress cues and triggers and learn cutting edge stress management tools to reduce stress both professionally and personally. Facilitator Wendy Turner-Larsen, M.A. M.A., Registered Psychologist and stress management expert from Turner Larsen Consulting, will discuss the root causes of stress along with personal coping strategies.
