Dental Implant, Consultation & Surgery Course for Dental Assistants (DNTL 1605)
The purpose of this SIAST course is to provide information for registered dental assistants who are working with an implant surgeon or referring clients to an implant surgeon. This course will not address the skills required by a registered dental assistant working within a restorative implant appointment. Attendees will receive a comprehensive view of current clinical procedures related to surgical implantology.
In this course you will discuss the role of the dental assistant with respect to dental implants including determining an appropriate client, presenting implant cases to clients, assisting in the surgical dental implant appointment, recognizing various dental implant components, and maintaining proper dental implant records.

Temporary Crowns for Dental Assistants (DENT 1617)
In this course students will learn to fabricate, cement, place and remove custom temporary crowns.
Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must be currently licensed as a Dental Assistant
Minimum enrollment 9, maximum 18. Students are required to supply uniform or lab coat and safety glasses.
