Learn how to apply the basic design philosophy of Feng Shui for today’s living to your office or commercial space. This presentation will show you how to utilize the important feng shui tool, the bagua, to enhance branding, traffic flow, customer service and productivity. Learn the importance of balancing the 5 elements in their yin/yang forms in order to create stress free productive spaces. Please bring a detailed sketch of your office or commercial space floor plan with doors and windows clearly marked so that you may correctly apply the bagua.

Basic Foot Care for Health Care Providers (HLTH 1808)

This workshop is designed for health care providers. It is also appropriate for the lay public or family caregiver. Taking a general wellness approach to foot health, you will learn about prevention of foot problems and dysfunction (including the role of proper footwear), observing feet for various deviations that require attention of health care professionals and community resources for foot care. Reiki Refresher (HLTH 1886)

This is an opportunity to gather with other Reiki students, share your Reiki experiences with like-minded people and expand your knowledge of Reiki. All levels welcome. Instructor: Darlene McGrath, B Ed, RT-CRA.

You should bring drinking water, a bag lunch and a snack to share.

For 24 hours before the course and during the course, you should not use alcohol or recreational drugs and limit consumption of caffeine. Dress comfortably in layers.

Reiki: The Art and Science of Self Care, Level 1 (HLTH 1812)

Are you stressed? Have trouble relaxing? A Canadian Reiki Association Reiki Master will lead you through the Usui System of Natural healing; practical hands-on self-care techniques for creating mind/body balance. You will have the opportunity to attend regular monthly meetings of a Reiki circle to practice skills and seek guidance from a mentor Reiki Master. This is an opportunity to experience the art and science of self care in a small group. Instructor: Darlene McGrath, B Ed, RT-CRA.

This course will expand on your knowledge and practice of the Usui System of Natural Healing by introducing you to the use of symbols. Self-Hypnosis (PERS 1802)

Hypnosis is the careful use of language and mental processes to create an altered state of consciousness (a trance state) which leads to a greater openness to change. Through this course, you will learn to develop skills for personal trance, not the hypnotizing of others. Hypnosis has been found to be effective in promoting greater relaxation, pain relief, study abilities and self-confidence. It may also assist with habit oriented problems such as smoking and dieting.
