Presenting With Confidence (BCOM 1601)

Let the power of polished communication add shine to your next speech or presentation. You will learn how to inject energy into your delivery and gain confidence for the next time you are in the spotlight. You will develop simple yet effective techniques to enhance your platform presence. Topics include overcoming speech anxiety, presentation formats (what to use and when), the impact your appearance has, use and misuse of gestures, handling difficult questions and troubleshooting unexpected problems. If you plan on using PowerPoint for your presentations, we suggest that you consider taking the Microsoft PowerPoint Workshop offered through Computer Training at SIAST Wascana Campus. It will provide you with the technical tools that you need for a professional presentation.
