Build Your Professional Communication Toolbox (COMM 1616)

This interactive workshop will help you to develop valuable professional communication skills. You will learn about the communication process and how to make it work for you. Expand your communication toolbox by: learning skilful listening techniques to minimize communication barriers; understanding how your communication affects others; and practicing constructive feedback to diffuse difficult situations where conflict could occur. Practicing these skills will enable you to become a more effective communicator within your organization.

If you plan on using PowerPoint for your presentations, we suggest that you consider taking the Microsoft PowerPoint Workshop offered through Computer Training at SIAST Wascana Campus. It will provide you with the technical tools that you need for a professional presentation.
