ATV Safety (SFTY 1410)

This Canada Safety Council certified course, based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV operation. The rider learns about controls, reading terrain, turning and climbing hills.

Snowmobile Safety (SFTY 1411)

All snowmobile operators who were born on or after January 1, 1989 are required to complete a snowmobile safety training course before operating a snowmobile on public land. This SGI approved course promotes the safe and responsible use of a snowmobile. It involves classroom instruction and hands-on training. Topics include rules of the road, pre-start safety check, safe operating procedures, trail riding, survival and ice safety.

Wildlife Behaviour/Encounters (WILD 1400)

This course provides the student some awareness in dealing with dangerous wildlife encounters. You will learn about dangerous wildlife behaviour (black bear, moose, elk, wolves and cougar), avoidance measures and the use of deterrents such as pepper spray and noise makers.

Winter Survival (SFTY 1409)

You will learn basic winter survival techniques involving clothing, shelter building, fire, signaling and collecting food and water. An overnight, supervised experience and post-camp debriefing are included.
