Giving
Businesses, foundations and individuals (including SIAST students, alumni, staff and friends) give to SIAST every day.
A gift to SIAST will make a difference to SIAST students and to SIAST. Your gift will contribute to the success of students, the enhancement of our programs and facilities and to the social and economic prosperity of Saskatchewan. And, because SIAST is a registered charitable organization, you can realize your philanthropic goals as well as your business goals when you choose one of several ways to give.
Gifts may be a one-time contribution or spread over months or even years. Gifts may be directed to student awards, priority equipment or other needs.
Business and Industry Dinners
Each year, SIAST hosts Business and Industry Dinners at each of SIAST's four campus locations (Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon).
Corporations purchase sponsorships or tickets for the event, and designate the number of tickets to be provided to students. The corporation also specifies the programs from which students are to be recruited.
The evening is comprised of a reception followed by dinner and a speaker. Corporate representatives are seated at tables with the students they have sponsored. The opportunity to identify and begin developing relationships with prospective employees is an opportunity to begin the increasingly important recruitment process.
In addition to their value as an employee recruitment tool, the Business and Industry Dinners offer the opportunity to meet and support SIAST students, and find out first hand why SIAST is the first-choice post-secondary institution for tens of thousands of individuals each year.
Proceeds from the events support scholarships for SIAST students.

Planned Gifts
Choosing to leave a gift from the heart brings meaning, dignity and purpose to a life well lived. Your gift is your opportunity to participate in the charitable and community work most meaningful to you, in a way that allows these important causes to be well supported now and long after you have gone. Personal philanthropy through a will can be an additional way to ensure that your memory lives on.
Surprisingly, a gift can also be a very practical addition to a financial or estate plan when tax issues are taken into consideration – even for those who think they may not have tax issues. In most cases, the tax burden left to relatives is lifted significantly. Your professional advisor can teach you how giving may actually benefit your family after you're gone. Together we can make a difference – the difference these days, is that you can impact the causes you care about by including them in your will or estate plan.

Program, Equipment and Facilities Support
While the demands of our increasingly dynamic economy have accelerated, SIAST has expanded capacity, developed new programs and realigned its program mix to equip both students and employers with the ability to capture new opportunities. Already one of Saskatchewan's largest post-secondary institutions - and one of the largest college-sector institutions in the country - SIAST has increased enrolment by 30 per cent over the past four years.
The most critical fact that SIAST must confront is its inability to sustain the student enrolment growth experienced during the past few years without radical investment in facilities at all four of its urban campuses.
If SIAST is to be positioned for further enrolment growth in program areas that will be needed to build the future Saskatchewan labour force, and accelerate our response to employer and labour market demands, investment dollars must be secured from both the provincial government and the private sector to facilitate capacity and program expansion.
